Jio Platforms Unveils Jio Brain, a 5G-Connected Machine Learning Platform for Businesses to Provide AI Services to Customers

More than 500 REST and data APIs are included with Jio Brain in order to facilitate the creation of ML-enabled services

Jio Platforms has introduced Jio Brain, an artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) platform designed for businesses. Telecom networks, enterprise networks, and industry-specific IT systems will be able to employ ML tools in their daily operations thanks to the 5G-integrated service. Jio Brain’s enterprise-ready and mobile-ready large-language model (LLM) as a service feature, which enables its clients to take advantage of generative AI capabilities, is one of its main selling points. With over 500 REST and data APIs, the cloud-native platform enables businesses to develop ML services that are specifically tailored to their needs.

Senior Vice President of Jio Aayush Bhatnagar made the news on LinkedIn, stating that hundreds of engineers worked on the project for two years before creating Jio Brain. The platform was billed as the “Industry’s first 5G-integrated ML platform” in a document that was included with the launch.

“Jio Brain will optimize networks, help develop new 5G services, transform businesses, and pave the way for the development of 6G, where machine learning will play a major role,” Bhatnagar stated.

The platform is essentially an AI and ML-powered solution that provides organizations with automation and possibly even generative AI features to help them run their operations more quickly and effectively. The service describes itself as “industry agnostic” and states that it provides a large number of features. LLM as a Service, sophisticated AI features for photos, videos, text, documents, and audio, a cloud-native solution with a plug-and-play architecture, data integration capabilities, several AI/ML embedded mobile and online apps, and more are some of Jio Brain’s noteworthy products.

Jio Brain is an AI generating tool that businesses can use for natural language processing (NLP) and image to video, text to music, text to picture and video, speech to speech, speech to text, and other activities. The platform makes it possible to generate, explain, optimize, and debug codes related to coding. It also possesses fundamental machine learning skills like feature engineering, hyperparameter tweaking, ML chaining, and others. You can use each of these services separately or in combination.

In an effort to expand the platform and give it greater functionality, the business has said that it is open to working with AI and ML experts. Jio did not disclose the Jio Brain launch date.
