In the national level Kalamkar Award competition organized by the country’s leading literary organization Kalamkar Manch, this year the first prize in the story and short story category is the story of Mahesh Kumar of Jaipur ‘Khauf’ and the first prize in the category of Geet, Ghazal, Poetry Naihnu Ram of Tonk. Meena’s composition will be given to ‘Jatan’. According to the decision of the jury, the second prize in the short story category was ‘Ek Thi Cinderella’ by Sangeeta Sethi of Bikaner, Rajasthan and the third prize was Ram Karan of Basti, Uttar Pradesh, Anita Rathore Manjari of Agra, Uttar Pradesh and Gurugram, Haryana. This year the Asukavi Bankat Bihari ‘Pagal’ award will be given to Dashrath Kumar Solanki.
National Convener of Kalamkar Manch Nishant Mishra said that a large number of compositions were received from across the country in the Kalamkar Award-2020-21. After shortlisting at two levels by Team Kalamkar, the best works for the award were selected by the eminent litterateurs of the country included in the jury. Senior litterateurs and critics Rajaram Bhadu, Kumar Mukul and Kanta Roy in the short story and short stories category, and senior litterateurs like Priyadarshan, Prabhat and Dr. Dushyant in the songs, poems and ghazals were included in the jury. He said that in view of the current situation due to Corona and Omicron, the Kalamkar Award ceremony will be organized in April, 2022 if normalcy returns, in which the winners of the years 19-20 and 20-21 will be awarded.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister’s privileged and senior litterateur, Farooq Afridi, while giving information about the literary festival being organized by Kalamkar Manch in the month of April and the event to be held in Jaisalmer under Sahitya Yatra said that tourists from all over the world come to visit Jaisalmer and then literature How can the creators be deprived of visiting such a world famous place? He praised the work of the organization. Senior litterateur Dr. Satyanarayan said on this occasion that the purpose of any competition is to find better talents through it and Kalamkar Manch is doing excellent work in this direction.


Uma, a founding member of Kalamkar, told that on January 29, the satirical collection of senior satirist Farooq Afridi published by Kalamkar Manch, ‘Dhany Hai Aam Aadmi’, the story collection ‘Chand, Roti and Chadar ki folds’, written by Kasagoi fame writer Uma, is written by Mahesh Kumar. Novel ‘Shahri Sharif’, Dasrath Kumar Solanki’s poetry collection ‘Ujas Ke Earth’, Omprakash Nautiyal’s story collection ‘Shatranji Khambha’, Dr. Piyush Chandra Pandya’s satirical collection ‘Taal Se Taal Mila’, Seva Sadan Prasad’s short story collection ‘ Inspiration’, Prakash Priyam’s memoir ‘Past Ka Safarnama’, Dr. Bhola Shankar Mishra’s story collection ‘Jeevan’ and ‘Bhranti’, Deepak Thakur’s poetry collection ‘Pahadi Girl’ and Neetu Jharotia’s poetry collection ‘Rudrakshi’.
