Space Cadet Camp in Subodh Public School Rambagh

To support the futuristic vision of the National Education policy, the Subodh Public School
Jaipur has organized Rajasthan’s first  2 Days Space Camp for school students ON the 22nd and
23rd of April 2022. The Space Camp included activities like the ISRO Rocket Model Exhibition,
a workshop on hydro rockets, an airshow, a seminar on Astronomy, and an xperimental rocket launch. Around 100 students in Grade 4th to 12th have participated in this amazing space camp. This space camp was conducted by Vyomika Space Academy, which is India’s 1st Space School, and is dedicated to the gasification of space education and learning. Their vision is to build the next generation of aerospace engineers, space scientists, astrophysicists, and astronauts for India.

At the ISRO Rocket Model Exhibition, VSA’s lead space educator Mr. Nitin Kumar explained the technical specification and interesting facts about the famous Mangalyan, Chandrayan, and Ganganyan Missions to the Space Camp participants. In another activity of Hydrorocket Workshop and RC Drone Show, VSA’s lead trainer Mr. Bharat Vaishnav has
practically trained the participants about the founding principles of Rockets Designing and
Construction. The students launched their own hydro rockets up to the height of 100 meters. 
Finally, the students have attended the most amazing segments of the organized space camp, the Astronomy Seminar, and the launch of the Vyomika 1 Rocket, conducted by VSA’s Senior Space Scientist, Mr. Govind Yadav. The astronomy seminar included interesting information about the origin of the universe, telescope operations, the presence of alien life in the universe, etc. and the Vyomika 1 rocket went up to 1km of altitude with a help of a high-class rocket motor and successfully recovered through a parachute.

In the closing ceremony of the workshop the principal of the school, Mrs Kamaljeet Yadav said
“India is now under a Space Revolution”. With ISRO marking its territory in the cosmos and
private Indian space startups evolving under the Department of Space Initiative, there is an
urgent need of introducing the learning of space science and technology to the young minds of the country to develop more scientists like Late Shri APJ Abdul Kalam Ji.
