The Indian Rupee weakens against the UAE Dirham

Early on Tuesday, the Indian rupee lost 11 paise to 82.73 against the US dollar (22.54 against the UAE dirham), as the South Asian currency was hurt by a decline in Indian stocks and rising crude prices on the international markets.
the rupee was maintained and the decline was limited, according to currency traders, by the dollar’s weakness against important rivals.The rupee depreciated 11 paise from its previous close to open weakly versus the dollar at the Indian interbank foreign exchange, where it was trading at 82.69.In the prior session on Monday, the rupee ended 13 paise higher at 82.62 against the dollar.

The 30-share BSE Sensex was down 303.59 points, or 0.49 percent, at 61,502.60 on the Indian equities market, and the larger NSE Nifty was down 95.85 points, or 0.52 percent, at 18,324.60.
The dollar index, which measures the strength of the dollar against a basket of six different currencies, decreased 0.37 percent to 104.33.The benchmark for world oil, Brent crude futures, increased by 0.89 percent to $80.51 a barrel.According to exchange data, foreign institutional investors sold shares worth Rs5.38 billion on Monday, making them net sellers in the capital market.
