68th REPUBLIC DAY – A DAY OF PRIDE AND GLORY

The celebration of Republic Day is all about the celebration of sovereignty. The essence behind the celebration of this day is not only to celebrate secularism and democracy, but it also makes us feel proud of our culture, language, tradition, custom and religion. Republic Day honours the date on which the constitution of India came into effect on 26th January, 1950 and India became Republic.

The 68th Republic Day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur at Kapil Gyanpeeth, Mansarovar on 26th January, 2018. The patriotic fervor warmed up the cold winter morning as the celebration commenced with the customary unfurling of the national flag followed by national anthem. A colourful cultural programme presented by the students added a festive spirit to the occasion. The programme comprised of spirit to the occasion. The program comprised of patriotic song, dance and speech on Republic Day.

The school Principal, Ms. Karuna Yadav, in her address to the students expressed her admiration and pride to see the patriotic zeal amongst them and appealed to strengthen, Secularism, inclusiveness and pluralism of the one nation.

The day was also marked by the closing ceremony of Annual Sports Day. The students were brimming with enthusiasm and sportsmanship. There was the power-packed performance of some race events and Kabaddi matches.
