Against the tax on basic food products, Congress will protest : Pratap Singh Khachariyawas

Credent TV | Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, Food and Civil Supplies Minister of Rajasthan said it is first time after the Independence of India, 5% GST has been imposed on basic food goods including flour, beans, rice, maida, semolina, jaggery, puffed rice, etc.
He said that on Saturday, Congress members will burn Prime Minister Narendra Modi effigies in each of Jaipur’s eight legislative districts as a form of protest against the imposition of a 5% GST on home goods. According to Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, the Congress would start a significant protest in the state on this matter.
According to the minister, the Centre is getting ready to steal the morsel from the lips of the ravenous. “The Center is going to hurt the poor by taxing these basic food products. On this matter, we shall contend with the Centre,” declared Pratap Singh Khachariyawas.
“The poor may starve to death, but there won’t be a lack in the industrialists’ ability to amass money. This is why there are taxes on flour, he said, “so that large corporations may profit from it. Due to the center’s approach, “little merchants and business people in villages and towns may face a lot of hardships.”
