Symphonia at St. Xavier’s School Jaipur

St. Xavier’s School Jaipur –
November 15, 2014, the 3rd edition of the Inter-school live band competition “’ was held at St. Xavier’s School jaipur. All the big city schools participated with their musical troupes. Fifty thousand watts of pulsating sound set up and equally elaborate stage accompanied the performances well. St. Angela Sophia filled the air with serenity with its soulful number ‘Abhi Mujhme Kahin BakiThodi si Hai Zindagi’while the hosts Xavierites swayed the audience away with ‘Mayee Ri’ & ‘We will Rock you’. MGDians presented an exquisite medley of English and Hindi Hits; their vocal in ‘Badariya’ captivated everybody. Neerja Modi defended their forte of strong instrumentals, their violists clearly stood apart. DPS came up with a breath-taking line up of Bollywood hits. The Judges of the competition were the famous singers Ravindra Upadhyay, Indian Idol fame Megha Sharma, and MTV VJ Gaurav Bhatt. Even they did not stay behind and mesmerized everyone with their latest Hits. Addressing the crowd the Chief Guest Mr. Dushyant Mugdal, Post Master General, Jaipur felicitated the participants and emphasized the relevance of music in our lives. Reverend Fr. John Ravi, the Principal thanked the various bands for putting up a fantastic show. He congratulated the superbly talented participants and wished them more laurels in their musical journey. He reflected on the relevance of music today saying that it propagates love , harmony and universal brotherhood, all of which have the power to change the world for a better tomorrow.
