The Congress has invited the opposition party leaders to dinner before the second meeting of the opposition parties in Bengaluru to defeat the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections

. The Taj West End Hotel in Bangalore served as the venue for the dinner. Leaders from 26 different parties reportedly took part, according to the Congress party.

Lalu Prasad Yadav, Arvind Kejriwal, Hemant Soren, the chief minister of Jharkhand, and Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, all showed up for the dinner. Following the party split, Sharad Pawar will directly attend the meeting tomorrow.

A meeting of the NDA has also been scheduled by the BJP for July 18 at 4 p.m. in Delhi at the Ashoka Hotel. 38 parties are taking part in this meeting, according to party president JP Nadda.

KC Venugopal, general secretary of the Congress, commented on the NDA meeting by saying, “I am surprised that Modi ji had said in the Rajya Sabha that I alone am heavy on all the opposition.”

Why is he inviting 30 parties to the NDA meeting tomorrow if he is solely responsible for crushing the opposition? At the very least, list the 30 parties’ names. They feel anxious about meeting with us.

The chief ministers of Telangana Chandrasekhar Rao, Andhra Pradesh Jagan Mohan Reddy, the former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh Chandrababu Naidu, and Odisha Naveen Patnaik have avoided the meeting.

At the opposition meeting, a variety of topics will be covered, including seat sharing.

According to sources, a similar appointment should be made in the new grand alliance by unanimous vote, much like how UPA Chair Sonia Gandhi was chosen following the 2004 Lok Sabha elections. Sources claim that the Congress, which is the biggest party in the opposition, wants to be given the position.

Sonia Gandhi’s name won’t bother any party because she won’t be a candidate for prime minister. It is also being asserted, though, that if there is a disagreement over this position, the Congress might back down.

Some parties also asked Nitish Kumar to form a coalition at the opposition meeting on June 23 in Patna. The situation did not, however, develop further.

Who is the opposition’s leader, Venugopal became irate over this query.

The general secretaries of the Congress, KC Venugopal, Jairam Ramesh, Vivek Tankha, and DK Shivakumar, gave a press conference prior to the meeting. Regarding the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and the opposition party leaders, Venugopal became irate with reporters.

There are bigger issues, such as Rahul Gandhi’s eligibility to serve in the Parliament. The nation’s democracy and constitution are in jeopardy. You people don’t question this, do you?

Some leaders are not coming today but will come tomorrow, according to Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh, so the meeting will be held in the morning. The meeting will begin at 11 am, and leaders from all parties will address the nation at 4 pm. However, after our meeting in Patna, the prime minister unexpectedly had the NDA in mind.
