The court appearance of Brij Bhushan today: There will be a hearing on the charge sheet regarding the allegations against six wrestlers, and bail will be requested

Today, the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi will hear the sexual harassment case brought by six adult wrestlers against former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president Brij Bhushan

. At 2:30 pm, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh and Secretary Vinod Tomar will show up in court. He will ask the court for bail during this time.

On July 7, the court issued summonses, and on July 18, both parties were required to appear in court. Regarding this, Brij Bhushan had stated that he would unquestionably show up in court. They can show up without needing an exemption. Previously, on July 1, the case hearing took place. The charge sheet filed in the sexual harassment case will be considered taking cognizance on July 7 by Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court.

On June 15, a charge sheet was presented in Rouse Avenue Court.

Let us inform you that the charge sheet was presented in the Rouse Avenue Court on June 15 by the Delhi Police. Vinod Tomar, the assistant secretary for the WFI, is also named among the defendants in addition to Brij Bhushan. The wrestlers’ testimony before the magistrate has been cited as a key supporting element in the charge sheet.

Brijbhushan was found to have evidence against him in the case.

In the case against Brij Bhushan, approximately 7 witnesses have been identified. Simultaneously, evidence of his presence has been discovered at the alleged site of sexual abuse. The charge sheet was transferred to the MP-MLA court at the first hearing. On Monday, the court ordered the Delhi Police to provide the complainant wrestlers with a copy of the charge sheet.

2012 case of obstructing or pursuing

Brij Bhushan, according to Delhi Police sources, is facing a case of roadblocking or stalking dating back to 2012. According to the female wrestler who filed the complaint, Brij Bhushan called her mother into his room during a competition and gave her a bear hug.

He began making repeated calls to the mother’s number on various pretexts when the female wrestler got home. He further asserted that in order to stop receiving calls from Brijbhashan, he had to change his phone number. However, there is no technical evidence to support these claims.

The accused were present at the alleged sexual assault locations.

The police presented a 1500 page charge sheet in the case of adult wrestlers. In this case, the police used the wrestlers’ statements made to the magistrate in accordance with Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code as the primary basis for the charge sheet. According to the police, there is proof that the accused was present where the adult wrestlers claim they were sexually assaulted.

Wrestlers provided five photos as evidence.

Five photographs that the wrestlers have provided to the police as evidence in the investigation. In addition, more digital evidence was provided, and it was delivered to the court on pen drives. About 25 witnesses’ statements are included in the charge sheet. The allegations of the victimised adult wrestlers have been corroborated by 7 witnesses. The remaining speakers have all backed the accused.

The trial will feature a cross-examination of him. The police have requested CCTV footage and pictures of the locations where female wrestlers have accused Brij Bhushan of sexual harassment from the wrestling federations of Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and Indonesia. I have not yet located it. The police will submit an additional challan in the case once they have these.

Young wrestler and his father have received notice from the court.

On Tuesday, a hearing was held in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court regarding the closure report of the case brought against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh based on the statements of the young wrestler. The court has notified the young wrestler and his father for changing the statement and asked the reason for the change in the statement after discussing the cancellation report. By August 1st, the court is asking for a response.

The judge stated that the court wants to hear the minor’s side during this time. Only after the minor’s side has been heard will the court decide whether to dismiss the case. A few days ago, the young wrestler modified his testimony in court as well, claiming that the issue was prejudice rather than sexual abuse. He had made a fictitious complaint.

On June 15th, the Delhi Police submitted a report to the court regarding the cancellation. It was stated that the investigation had turned up no proof of sexual abuse. so resolving this matter.
