On February 2, the Zoom app for Apple Vision Pro will be made accessible

The video conferencing company Zoom has released a new software designed just for the Apple Vision Pro. The mixed reality headgear now has a number of new functions added by the app. By including features from the participants’ physical spaces, the software, according to the business, would enhance the immersiveness of virtual meetings. The new Zoom app will be available for download from the App Store on February 2, the same day that the Apple Vision Pro goes on sale in the US.

Zoom gave information about the app for the AR/VR headset and the new capabilities that would be accessible to Vision Pro customers in a post that was published on Monday. Notably, users will be able to build a digital persona for meetings by utilizing Apple’s Personas function in the app. The Apple Vision Pro automatically creates these avatars, which mimic real-time gestures and facial expressions through machine learning. Additionally, a feature called Spatial Zoom Experience will be included.

Starting at $3,499 (about Rs. 2.9 lakh), the Apple Vision Pro is available with 256GB of built-in storage. There are additional storage models with 512GB and 1TB capacities that can be purchased for $3,699 (about Rs. 3.07 lakh) and $3,899 (approximately Rs. 3.24 lakh), respectively.

With the help of the Spatial Zoom Experience, users will be able to enlarge virtual meeting rooms to actual size and get the impression that they are seated next to friends, family, and coworkers. According to the corporation, this functionality will enhance the immersive and collaborative aspects of remote meetings.

In addition, the platform for video conferences unveiled three other capabilities that will be accessible in the upcoming months. The first one is 3D Object Sharing, which enables users to share 3D models of designs and allow other users to see them from every perspective. “An animator or game designer could collaborate and share the latest character model via Zoom’s 3D object sharing capabilities,” Zoom stated, giving an example.

During the first part of the year, Zoom Team Chat will also be included to the app. The Team Chat feature on Apple Vision Pro makes it simple for coworkers to connect with one another. Ultimately, users will be able to pin up to five participants anywhere in their physical location with the addition of a real-world pinning capability. To give the participants a more immersive appearance, there will also be an option to hide their backgrounds.
