After winning Punjab, AAP’s focus on Gujarat

After winning Punjab, Arvind Kejriwal focused on Gujarat. The party had last month appointed Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Pathak in charge of Gujarat elections. Pathak was earlier watching the party’s election campaign in Punjab.

Elections will be held on 182 seats of Gujarat Legislative Assembly

Gujarat has 182 assembly seats. Elections are proposed in the state in November-December. In 2017, the BJP had won 99 seats. Congress had won 79 seats. However, the Aam Aadmi Party registered a strong presence in the Surat Municipal Corporation elections last year. In such a situation, this time in Gujarat, a triangular contest is being considered on many seats.
