On the same day that the Home Minister requested cooperation, the PM linked us with terrorists.”

A letter from Home Minister Amit Shah dated July 25 has received a response from Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge.

He claimed in a letter that there are significant discrepancies between the central government’s words and deeds.

According to Kharge, Amit Shah ji, the Home Minister wrote an emotional letter urging the opposition to adopt a positive attitude on the same day the PM linked the opposition parties with the terrorist organisation and the British government.

In fact, Shah had written a letter to Kharge and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary on Tuesday stating that the opposition must create a favourable environment before the government is willing to discuss Manipur.

1. Distinction between the government’s words and actions

Amit Shah ji, your letter of July 25 is false, according to Kharge. Concerning the situation in Manipur, the INDIA Alliance parties have demanded that the Prime Minister address Parliament so that it can be discussed, but there is a world of difference between the sentiments of your letter and your actions. Your government’s stance in the House has been callous and arbitrary.

2. It is against the rules to suspend MPs from a session due to minor incidents

According to Kharge, MPs were suspended for the duration of the session by exaggerating small infractions. Daily debate notices are given, but the members of the ruling party prevent the house from conducting its business. Disappointment has been expressed thus far with regard to the Parliament’s proceedings.

3. It’s unfortunate that the PM compared us to terrorist organisations and described them as aimless

According to Kharge, you wrote an emotional letter on the day the PM linked the country’s opposition parties with the terrorist organisation and the British government, hoping for a supportive response from the opposition. The PM’s characterization of the opposition parties as aimless is unfortunate in addition to being absurd.

4. The actions of both parties and the opposition are documented in history.

After running the government for a long time, Kharge wrote, “we know that the conduct of both the party and the opposition is recorded in the pages of history.” We have a responsibility to both the current generation and future generations. Every day during the session, the behaviour of the government and the opposition is brought to the attention of the House. The entire country, including the opposition, will be watching to see how closely your words and actions correspond.

The opposition coalition was compared by the PM to the Indian Mujahideen.

Tuesday’s BJP Parliamentary Party meeting was presided over by Prime Minister Modi. The Prime Minister commented on the opposition alliance’s name, I.N.D.I.A., saying that those who want to rule and divide the nation are using names like the East India Company and the Indian Mujahideen. This also applies to India. The Popular Front of India (PFI) uses the name India as well, but people won’t be misled by it.
