Jharkhand: Girl burnt alive again in Dumka, married youth wanted to forcefully marry her

In Dumka, Jharkhand, there has been news of burning a girl by pouring petrol. A married young man wanted to marry her forcibly, after the family’s refusal, he tried to kill the girl. Accused has been arrested.

Jarmundi DSP Shivender said that the girl has been sent to Ranchi for treatment in critically scorched condition. The incident took place in Bhalki village of Jarmundi block. Accused Rajesh Raut put petrol on 19-year-old Maruti Kumari sleeping with her grandmother and set her on fire. The girl has suffered 70 percent burns.

According to the police, the girl was sleeping with her grandmother on Thursday night. Then accused Rajesh entered their house and set it on fire by pouring petrol on it. Frightened by this sudden incident, the family immediately took him to the primary health center, from where he was sent to Ranchi. The girl has said in the statement that Rajesh Raut entered the house, poured petrol on her and set her on fire. He wants to forcefully marry her.

DSP Shivender said that the accused Rajesh Raut is a resident of Ramgarh under Maheshpur police station area of ​​Pakur district. In the same year Rajesh Raut was married to another girl. Even after this, he was pressurizing the injured girl for marriage.
