Teesta and others hatched a scheme to topple the Gujarat govt at Ahmed Patel’s behest: SIT

Credent TV | Investigations into Teesta Setalvad, Sreekumar, and Sanjiv Bhatt are being conducted in connection with a FIR that was filed in Ahmedabad on June 25, one day after the Supreme Court rejected an appeal challenging the clear record granted to then-chief minister of Gujarat Narendra Modi and others in cases involving the 2002 riots.

According to an affidavit from the Gujarat Special Investigation Team (SIT), who are looking into allegations of fabricating evidence and conspiracy in connection with the 2002 riots against activist Teesta Setalvad, retired DGP R B Sreekumar, and former IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt, the accused were allegedly involved in a “larger conspiracy” for the “dismissal or destabilization” of the then state government by “hook or by crook.”It said that this was accomplished purportedly at the “behest” of the late Ahmed Patel, who at the time served as Sonia Gandhi’s political strategist.
