Terrorist attacks are not stopping in Jammu and Kashmir. Terrorists attacked security forces in Shopian on Sunday. The terrorists targeted the joint team of CRPF and SOG. During retaliatory firing, the terrorists fled to the nearby forests. Presently the search operation is going on. Officials said that the terrorists had targeted the 182nd Battalion of CRPF and the group of SOG. Shoaib Ghani, a local civilian, was killed in the encounter.
Rahul Bhatt murdered in government office
Earlier on Thursday, terrorists killed a Kashmiri Pandit Rahul Bhatt. Rahul was the clerk of Chadoora Tehsil office in Budgam. The terrorists entered the government office and fired on him, Rahul’s associates took him to the hospital. He died during treatment here. It was not even 24 hours after Rahul’s murder that the terrorists entered the house of Riyaz, an SPO and shot him. Within 24 hours of the assassination of Rahul Bhatt, the security forces had killed 3 terrorists involved in his murder.
After these killings, there is anger across the country including Kashmir. People are protesting against these killings. Local leaders of Kashmir blamed the central government for these killings. Mehbooba Mufti and Farooq Abdullah said that the central government has proved completely unsuccessful in providing security to Kashmiris.
