By selecting a newly added button that displays when users open a picture with text, WhatsApp’s new text detection tool enables users to extract text from photographs.
Text detection is a new function that Whatsap has released that enables users to extract text from photos. According to WABeta WhatsApp Introduces ‘Text Detection’ Feature For iOS Users, Allowing Users To Extract Text From ImagesInfo, the feature is now accessible to all iOS 16 users who have updated to version 23.5.77 of the app.

As part of WhatsApp’s ongoing effort to add quality of life (QoL) improvements, the text detection feature was recently implemented. It enables users to extract text from photographs by clicking on a newly added button that displays when they open an image with text.
