Since education is the utmost priority of every citizen of the country, education in India is getting advance year by year. People rare now more aware of getting educated, even rural people are moving toward getting their children educated in order to save the coming generation from the burden of doing work as a daily waged labor and working on farms by carrying forward the on going ritual. Urban people are going for higher studies to abroad, the same way rural people are sending their children to urban cities for quality education.

For scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and other backward classes, Indian education system has reserved seats, So that development of all castes should take place on equal level. Thus, it is applicable to both public and private sectors.

Primary education is provided free to the children age between 6 -14.  Girls and boys are given equal preference while giving admissions. Keeping this in mind private sectors have come out with more co-aid schools. This helps to eliminate the discrimination based on caste, sex, creed etc.

Since education has advanced so much, it is also establishing post-secondary technical and management schools and collages. Scholarships are provided to high scoring students in order to motivate them towards their right career. It has removed the barriers of restricted education system.

Private and public sector are also advancing. Now, spending a lot of money in higher education contains low risk since collages and universities provide placements to the students while studying.

The Government of India also motivates the students by sending the deserving candidate to abroad for jobs and higher studies. Government also pays all the expenses. Now Indian banks also contribute to enhance Indian education system by providing education loans. They have taken the appropriate action of making such policy for the advancement of education. Many students quit their studies due to weak financial conditions and to eliminate this, banks are providing funds for education at low interest rates these days.

The development in Indian education is increasing continuously and has directly contributed to economic development of the country. Indian education provides opportunity to represent the country on national level. According to annual report of 2012, 97% (approx) rural students enrolled for primary education. Literacy level of country has also increased, which clearly states the advancement of Indian education system. People are now more aware of their educational rights and making efforts towards it in a right way.

Reforms in Indian education system

Though Indian education system is advancing rapidly, some major reforms need to taken in order to remove its weakness. Present education system is surrounded by bookish knowledge and students are not getting chance to come out of this old practice and to put their own ideas in order to create innovative things. Everyone is in the race of scoring high; no one has given a perfect platform to put his or her talent in front of the world.

Every child has a quality that makes him stand out of the crowd, so emphasis on more particle knowledge is given. We are still following outdated education system. There is still lack of creativity, imagination, physical education and overall development. Still 65% 0f the youth do not like to read newspaper, books of different authors or weakly visit to the library.

In the same way board system are still in practice in many states. Education is a platform for every student to come out with its abilities and get knowledge not only bookish but with particle knowledge. Why a student scoring high in math, chemistry etc has to choose the same subject for further studies? Alternatively, why a student least interested in language speculation has to deal with literature subjects only? Why the education provided in government schools is at very low level. So, in order to remove such drawbacks of Indian education system, some of the under stated reforms has to be taken.

Suitable infrastructure facilities must given complete emphasis, in order to provide healthy working environment and the same way significant changes should take place in syllabus pattern, paying much focus on particle knowledge rather than giving knowledge from books.

Students should be motivated to enhance their talent and choose the career of their own choice. They should be give proper workshops which helps them in choosing right career and for all this to happen, first of all eligible staff having complete knowledge and training should be given preference and contract should be signed first before the joining of selected staff in order to avoid

Instead of giving appreciation on scoring good marks, grade system should be compulsory in all school from public and private sectors in order to remove feeling of inferiority among low scoring students.

On a very serious note, quotas reserved for other backward classes from a few decades has drastically reduced the seats of general casts and for getting easy admissions people are moving towards making fake identities. If, this practice is removed preference to all casts will be given on equal level.

Above all to make all this possible, students should go to school regularly. To accomplish this, parents have to be aware of their child’s attendance and they should not entertain fake excuses of their children.
