DAV CELEBRATED HOLI- THE FESTIVAL OF COLOURS

Holi, a celebration of colour, an experience of content, harmony and delight.
Festivals are an indelible part of India. As one of the most important Hindu festivals in India, Holi marks the end of winter and is a two-day-long festivity. Holi is a major Hindu festival of India, celebrated in the Hindu calendar month of Phalgun. The festival lasts for one night and one day, beginning on a Purnima (full moon day) in Phalgun. It usually corresponds to March month of the Gregorian calendar.Holi is the festival which commemorates the victory of good over evil, brought about by the burning and destruction of the evil demon named Holika. It is also called festival of colours.
The most colourful and vibrant festival of India – Holi was celebrated with splash of colours at DAV Centenary Public School ,Jaipur on 23 March 2024. The school following the green and global practices had arranged for safe organic herbal Holi colours. The Principal, Shri A. K. Sharma wished everyone a happy and safe Holi and stated that Holi is a festival of new hope, new beginning and new opportunity. He reiterated to forget all bad things and memories, forgive and start afresh. The staff of DAV CPS Jaipur welcomed spring, season of hope with songs, dance and bright colours which were the major highlights of this vivid and lively festival. They also sprinkled colours on each other. These bright colors are believed to signify energy, life and joy.
It was a joyful celebration of Holi at school wherein everyone greeted each other Holi wishes. Everyone danced, sang Holi songs and enjoyed various delicacies and had a joyous event.
