The Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) elections, which are scheduled for August 12, will see the announcement of the final list of candidates today

The deadline for withdrawing nominations was on Saturday. 30 candidates had previously submitted their names for 15 Sangh seats. In which four nominations for the position of president, three for senior vice president, six for vice president, three for general secretary and joint secretary, and two for treasurer were received. For Executive Members, 9 nominations have been made.

Brij Bhushan is thought to be friendly with Sanjay Singh of Uttar Pradesh, who submitted a candidate for president. Anita Sheoran, the 2010 Commonwealth Games champion, and Sanjay Singh are thought to be vying for the position of WFI President.

Sanjay, vice president of the Uttar Pradesh Wrestling Federation, is close to Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, the departing WFI president.

On the other hand, Anita Sheoran is the sole woman running in the elections on August 12. He is thought to have the Sports Ministry’s backing. Anita is a police officer.

Dushyant additionally submitted a nomination for the position of treasurer.

Dushyant was present at the crucial gathering Brij Bhushan had scheduled for July 30. There, the head of the Bharatiya Janata Party declared that 22 out of the 25 state units are supporting him in the WFI elections. Dushyant has submitted his application to be the treasurer.

There are three candidates vying for the position of general secretary, two of them are from the Darshan Lal and Prakash Brijbhushan camps: the Chandigarh Union general secretary and WFI vice president. The secretary of the Railway Sports Control Board (RSPB), Prem Chand Lochab, can belong to the opposing group.

Brij Bhushan wasn’t prepared for the candidate from Haryana.

Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, a former president, wasn’t ready for a Haryanvi candidate. Devendra Singh Kadian, Anita Sheoran, and Premchand Lochab were names with which he had issue. They desired that the leadership of the WFI go to Satpal Singh, the president of the Uttarakhand Wrestling Federation, or to a different state besides Haryana. Brij Bhushan Singh views Satpal Singh as one of his specials. However, Brij Bhushan Singh’s succession as President was opposed by SAI and Ministry officials. In such a case, Mohan Yadav’s name was suggested.

Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, a former president and BJP member, stated before the nomination that “today is the last day for filing nominations for the elections to the federation… No one in my family has submitted a nomination.
