Jaipur International Festival of Performing Arts for the children, 2014

21 Nov. Jaipur,   Jaipur International Festival of Performing Arts for Children under the theme ‘Brighter Tomorrow’ was organized. The festival turned out to be one of the biggest cultural events of the city; comprising artists from across the world and more than 2300 children from Jaipur. The festival is hosted by Ryan International School, Jaipur.

The opening ceremony of the festival was held at B M Birla Auditorium, Jaipur. The following day was equally mesmerizing with dignitaries of the city as Mr. Arun Chaturvedi Social Affairs Minister, Mr. Satish Poonia BJP Pradesh Head and ADG Mr. Sudhakar Johari. Managing Director Ryan International Group of Institution, Madam Grace Pinto. “We’ve tried to make the festival more interactive and wider in its concept. I hope it will provide new dimensions to ‘culture exchange’, said visibly contented Madam Grace Pinto.

Young Culture trainers have been invited from Hungary, Zimbabwe, Egypt and India to train Indian Children in traditional and contemporary dances of their own countries. “We want our children to explore and interact with people from across the globe. It will widen their horizons and make them more receptive to the upcoming changes in society. With technology and internet the world is becoming a global village and cultural forums like these help our children understand and respect different sensibilities” and Mr. Utkarsh  Marwah, the festival director.

The opening ceremony witnessed a spectacular and a hair raising performance “Vande-Matram” where all the international and the national performers performed together on stage. It was truly an amalgamation of cultures and all artists on stage made us believe through their performance that we all understand one language of music.

Through this performance they left a message that we all are one and no boundaries, language on nationalities can divide people.

IFPAC is hosted by Ryan International School, Jaipur, founded by the Founder Chairman Dr. Augustine F. Pinto and Madam Grace Pinto, who with their farsighted vision are relentlessly working to create unparalleled standards of education.

Jihad Mahmoud a cultural trainer from Egypt who had trained Indian Children in Egyptian traditional dance said- “I’m amazed at the energy level and affability these children posses. It is beyond my expectations”. Majority of people who were present there were bound to think the same way.

Mst. Gaurav saini student of Ryan International School adds “it was a great experience to work with national and international teachers. Students in big cities have more opportunities and exposure, but feel so lucky that our school gave us the opportunity to learn and explore new culture and dance forms. This surely encourages me to learn more about other countries.
