The Promise of ADB to India

India has been a major beneficiary of ADB’s financial support since 2010, making it one of the bank’s top shareholders and borrowers. ADB committed $2.59 billion in sovereign financing, grants, and technical support to India in 2023 alone. With a combined value of $15.7 billion, the 73 projects in the Indian sovereign portfolio now operate. With an emphasis on ending extreme poverty, ADB is still dedicated to seeing an Asia and Pacific region that is wealthy, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable.
