DAV, JAIPUR ORGANISED SANKALP DIWAS FOR XII STUDENTS

The students and staff of DAV Centenary Public School, Jaipur, celebrated ‘Sankalp Diwas’ to bid farewell to the outgoing students of class XII on 4 February, 2024

The farewell party was celebrated with fervour at the school campus. It was an occasion for the outgoing students to reminisce their joyous moments. The occasion commenced with ‘yajna’ with Mr.A.K. Sharma, Principal, DAV CPS Jaipur, faculty members and students who sought the Almighty’s blessings for the upcoming board exams. The auditorium was adorned with flowers, garlands and decorations keeping in mind the theme for the farewell. The Chief Guests for the occasion was Dr. Sunil Sharma, Vice Chancellor, Suresh Gyan Vihar University, Jaipur and Guest of honour, Ansh Gupta, who was recently awarded as Mr. Rajasthan- 2023, DAV Alumni. Dr. Priyanka Joshi, Activity In charge welcomed the Chief Guest and the gathering. As per the DAV tradition the ceremony commenced with the ceremonial chanting of Gayatri Mantra and lamp lighting by the Mr. A. K. Sharma, Principal, DAVCPS, Chief Guests, Supervisory heads Mr. Vipin Kumar Sharma, Mrs. Manju Yadav as well as the class coordinator. The Guests were honoured by the Principal with bouquet, patka, shawl and momento. The day proceeded with kaleidoscopic activities encompassing medley of songs, foot tapping dance performed by students of class 12.

It was a delight to the eyes, when bracing themselves, the students walked on the ramp in beautiful attires.  A video depicting DAV Alumni Ansh Walia, Rajasthan- 2023, with the Principal Mr. A.K. Sharma representing DAV, Jaipur, being honoured by President of DAV Institutions Padmashree, Dr. Poonam Suriji at DAV United Festival held in Pune was shared to motivate the students. Ansh Walia also gave a electrifying dance performance on student’s request.  Mr. Vipin Kumar Sharma, Supervisory Head blessed the students and wished them good luck for their future endeavour.  The expressions by student representatives Lakshita Rathore from Science stream and Ansh Gupta, a scholar from Commerce stream filled the environment with nostalgia mixed with hope for future. A mixed air of happiness as well as sadness filled in the whole environment as these students walked down the memory lane and reminisced their joyous moments spent in the school premises. The Chief Guests not only enlightened the students with their inspirational speech but also motivated and mentored the students to put in their efforts to pursue excellence. After honouring the students who begin their schooling in DAV, as well as, the Sports students who won Gold medal and Bronze medal for long jump and shooting in DAV National Sports, an ‘Ashirwad song’ was sung by teachers wishing the students for a bright future.

The Principal Mr. A. K. Sharma in his address called the ‘Sankalp Diwas’ as ‘Commencement Day’ and expressed his desire to see all the students at the great height of success and commended the seniors for smoothly taking on responsibilities and setting a remarkable example for their juniors despite the situations around them.  He gave them helpful advice on how to juggle the expectations of their family and society with their own aspirations and concluded by wishing them happiness and success in all future endeavours and inspired them to leave an indelible mark on society and make their parents, school and nation proud. The student’s council presented a bouquet to the Principal as a token of love and gratitude. Mr. Mukesh Chandra Sharma, Class Coordinator extended his vote of thanks to the gathering. The ‘Sankalp Diwas concluded with ‘Shanti Mantra’. Then the students gathered in B- Block and the stage was brought to life with their sheer vitality and glorious expressions, when they danced on DJ track to comtemporary and Bollywood beats. The teachers bid their beloved students a warm goodbye and wished them good luck for their future and expressed their joy at having spent a wonderful time with all. All students and staff relished the farewell buffet as the day came to an emotional close.
