Various events will be held for a month in All India Mahakavi Magh Mahotsav

The event will be held on ‘hybrid mode’ from Feb.16 to March 16

Many events including Sanskrit Feature Film Festival and Kavi Sammelan based on ten Indian languages will be the center of attraction.

Jaipur. Mahakavi Magh Mahotsav will be organized on a large scale by Rajasthan Sanskrit Academy to commemorate “Ajadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”. Academy Administrator and Divisional Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Yadav said that this time the Magh Mahotsav will be organized from February 16 to March 16 on high-bridge mode (offline and online). It is being organized in collaboration with the Department of Art, Literature and Culture. Its activities will be done from different cities of the state including Jaipur.

Grand Opening with two special programs

Dinesh Kumar Yadav said that events of this one month mega event will be start with the telecast of two special recorded online programs on 16 February. On the opening session Grammy Award Winner Padbhushan Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt will perform a Sanskrit song based on his new raga composition ‘Raag Magh’ at 11.00 am. along with well-known singers Ravindra Upadhyay and Veena Modani, written by Padmashri Abhiraj Rajendra Mishra. On the same day at 6.00 pm, the artist of India’s only Sanskrit band ‘Dhruva’ will present Sanskrit compositions under the direction of Sanjay Trivedi.

Kavi Sammelan will be based on ten Indian languages

During this, a Ramayana-Mahabharata based All India Kavi Sammelan will be organized at Jawahar Kala Kendra on 27th February in collaboration with Prabha Khaitan Foundation of Kolkata. In this, poets of ten Indian languages will recite poetry.

Two-day Sanskrit language feature film festival will be also organized

During the ceremony, the National Sanskrit Film Festival will be organized at Jawahar Kala Kendra on March 12 and 13. During this, two Sanskrit language films will be screened every day. This will be the first time that a Sanskrit language film festival is being organized in Jaipur.
