By officially opening the National Institute of Technology Goa’s permanent campus, Prime Minister Narendra Modi created a momentous occasion in the state of Goa’s educational history. Constructed at an expense over ₹1330 crore, the campus boasts cutting-edge amenities designed to satisfy the varied requirements of educators, staff, and students.
Opening of the New Campus of the National Institute of Watersports
Prime Minister Modi dedicated the country’s new campus of the National Institute of Watersports, a major step toward promoting water sports and supporting water rescue operations. The institute will launch 28 specialized courses that are intended for both the general public and the armed forces, with an emphasis on innovation and skill development. The government’s dedication to utilising Goa’s coastline resources for both strategic and recreational objectives is demonstrated by this program.
The Integrated Waste Management Facility Opens
Prime Minister Modi opened a state-of-the-art 100 TPD Integrated Waste Management Facility in South Goa to address environmental issues. The facility, which is intended for the treatment of scientific waste, is capable of efficiently handling 40 TPD of dry waste and 60 TPD of wet waste. It is noteworthy for having a 500 KW solar power plant, which ensures sustainable waste management methods and is in line with the government’s aspirations for renewable energy.

Water Treatment Plant and Passenger Ropeway Foundation Stones Placed
The foundation stone for a Passenger Ropeway project linking Panaji and Reis Magos was placed by Prime Minister Modi in an effort to improve connectivity and tourism infrastructure. This endeavor is expected to enhance the tourism experience by providing expansive vistas of Goa’s natural beauty. In order to meet the urgent need for safe drinking water in the area, the foundation stone was also placed for a 100 MLD Water Treatment Plant in South Goa.
Youth Empowerment via the Rozgar Mela
Prime Minister Modi organized a Rozgar Mela, giving appointment orders to thirty thousand new government hires in a variety of departments, as a gesture to empower the youth. Furthermore, he gave welfare scheme recipients sanction letters, reiterating the government’s dedication to inclusive development and job creation in Goa.
