April 22 is celebrated worldwide as World Earth Day to demonstrate support for environmental protection. It’s the day dedicated to protecting mother earth. The theme this year is “Planet vs Plastics,” which aims to increase public awareness of the detrimental effects that plastic pollution has on both human and environmental health.

A wide variety of activities were carried out class wise at DAV Centenary Public School, Jaipur to celebrate the Earth day and inspire students to contribute in their specific manner to make Mother Earth worth dwelling in the years to come. The activities included setting bird bath / feeders, poster designing on ‘Give up Plastic,’ decorating earthen pots to transform them into beautiful planters/ pieces of art and making beautiful, artistic planters out of used plastic containers, which were all in sync with the theme of the year.
