Expulsion of an Indian diplomat; departure request by the Canadian ambassador from IndiaThe senior Canadian diplomat currently stationed in India has been expelled by the Indian government

He has five days to depart the nation. In fact, Indian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau claimed that the Sikh leader was murdered by India. In Parliament, Trudeau declared that Sikh community leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar had been murdered in June by Indian government agents.

During the G20 summit, which took place in India from September 9 to 10, Trudeau added that he had brought up the matter with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They base their accusations on the intelligence data that the Canadian government has access to.

The head of Indian intelligence in Canada, a diplomat from India, was deported, according to Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Jolly. Jolly, however, has provided no information regarding this diplomat.

India declared that Canada’s claims are ridiculous.

India has denied all of Canada’s accusations. All claims made by Canada are ludicrous, according to the foreign ministry. The Canadian Prime Minister levelled accusations against our PM Modi that were totally refuted.

These unfounded accusations are an effort to draw attention away from Khalistani fanatics and terrorists. They are a danger to India’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and have been granted asylum in Canada.

According to Trudeau, he will exert pressure on India to assist with the inquiry.

The involvement of a foreign government in the death of a citizen on Canadian territory constitutes a violation of our nation’s sovereignty, Trudeau told the House of Commons. We’ll exert pressure on the Indian administration to assist with the inquiry into this

The significant community of Sikhs with Indian ancestry living in Canada is enraged over this murder, according to Prime Minister Trudeau. There is fear for the safety of many Sikhs. There are 14–18 lakh people of Indian descent living in the nation, many of whom are Sikhs. Sikh-born Jagmeet Singh is the leader of Canada’s opposition New Democratic Party.

Originally from Punjab, he intended to incite violence here.

Nijjar lived in the Punjabi village of Bhar Singh Pura in Jalandhar. Ram Lal, the village sarpanch, reported that Nijjar had left for Canada in 1992. He served as the KTF’s (Khalistan Tiger Force) commander. He was on the Indian authorities’ list of the most wanted terrorists.

Nijjar’s name was included in a list of 40 terrorists that the NIA had published. He was also involved in the organisation of a Khalistan-supporting plebiscite in Brampton. On January 23, 2015, the police had issued a watch notice, and on March 14, 2016, they had issued a red corner notice, both against Nijjar.

This requested his extradition. In Canada, Nijjar was the target of a Rs. 10 lakh reward.

Nijjar met Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, the leader of the outlawed pro-Khalistan group Sikh for Justice (SFJ), while he was in Canada. The fact that Pannu has been upset since Nijjar’s murder and has announced plans to stage a referendum in Canada against India and in favour of Khalistan can be used to determine how close Pannu and Nijjar were.

How these charges can deteriorate ties between India and Canada

India and Canada already have strained ties. The Canadian prime minister’s accusation is likely to exacerbate already strained ties between the two nations.

PM Trudeau had travelled to India for the G20 summit. He had requested a bilateral meeting during this, but PM Modi had turned it down. Nevertheless, the two leaders had a separate meeting.

The Ministry of External Affairs claims that during this meeting, too, Trudeau accused India of ordering Nijjar’s murder. The PM Modi rejected this. Trudeau had declared following the meeting, “We always support freedom of expression.” Everyone has the right to peaceful demonstration.

On September 10, just six days after this meeting, Canada postponed discussions on a free trade agreement with India. An Indian official had stated that discussions about trade between the two nations would only begin when other problems had been resolved.

India had protested several political actions that were taking on in Canada. Trade talks with Canada have been put on hold until these issues are resolved.

Organisations in favour of Khalistan had charged RAW of murdering Nijjar.

On their social media pages, pro-Khalistan organisations claimed that the Indian intelligence service RAW was behind the assassination of Nijjar. British Columbia Gurdwara Council and Ontario Gurdwara Committee, two Canadian Sikh organisations, issued a letter to Minister of Public Safety Marco Mendicino on June 23 in this matter

He had claimed that Indian authorities were responsible for Nijjar’s murder in this. Such letters to the Canadian government were numerous.

On July 8, a Khalistan Freedom Rally was held in Canada. On July 8, a pro-Khalistan group held a Khalistan Freedom Rally in Canada in honour of Hardeep Singh Nijjar. At the Indian Embassy in Toronto, it came to an end. Supporters of the Indian government were also in attendance. Following this, both sides began shouting their respective slogans.

In British Columbia, Nijjar was assassinated close to a Gurudwara.

The leader of the terrorist group Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF) was the Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. He long supported the Khalistani cause in Punjab while residing in Canada. Nijjar was fatally shot by two unidentified assailants on June 18 in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, next to the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurudwara. The leader of this Gurudwara was Nijjar.

Nijjar was in his car at the Gurudwara’s parking lot. Two young people arrived on a motorbike and began firing in the meanwhile. Nijjar passed away in the car because he was unable to exit it in time.

Nijjar’s demise was ultimately brought on by Malik’s murder.

Nijjar’s demise was brought on by the assassination of Ripudaman Malik, a legendary terrorist from the 1980s. Malik was charged with participating in a plot to blow up Air India flight AI-182. According to the information gathered by the NIA, Ripudaman Malik’s supporters are the only ones who can be held accountable for the murder of Nijjar. Due to rivalry between two Khalistani organisations, this happened.
