Despite appearing in a film with SRK, Sharib’s luck changed after he appeared in the Family Man Talpade is like a cockroach; he will survive in any circumstance, as Manoj Bajpayee said in the web series

The Family Man. Sharib Hashmi, an actor, played J.K. Talpade in the television series. Despite the fact that this dialogue is from a web series, it also perfectly describes Sharib’s life. Sharib has personally experienced a struggle similar to this. Years of rejection in the quest to succeed in the film industry were endured, but the will to live persisted.

twice quit his job because he wanted to be an actor. The wife’s jewellery was sold along with the house in order to run the household, but Sharib was adamant about his position. didn’t stay for even a day before making a name for himself in the film industry. Shah Rukh Khan made his film debut in “Jab Tak Hai Jaan,” but the web series “The Family Man” is where he first gained popularity. Sharib is now a well-known name in both movies and web series. Famous film critic and journalist Z.A. Johar’s son Sharib is talented and has made a name for himself in the acting industry.

I only spoke to Sharib on the phone. He began by talking about his early years.

I still reside in Mumbai’s Malad, where I was born. Can’t leave Malad, where wonderful life memories are created. There, we stayed in a chawl. Dad, J.A. Johar, was a critic for films. He used to take me with him to events for the film industry. Even at home, celebrities used to come and go. Anupam Kher, Divya Bharti, and other artists used to travel home for interviews.

These were fascinating to observe. I used to be very impressed by this world. My desire to become an actor was cemented in my mind after seeing all of these things.

I am 5.4 feet tall. When I was a child, I believed that because of my height, I would never be able to be an actor. I used to believe that if I can’t become an actor, I won’t even take on a supporting role. But then someone said I was less intelligent or didn’t know certain things. Well, the supporting role also has value.

First job story?

My writing career began with stories. ‘Hum Tum Par Marte Hain’ was released in 1999. My friend Rajul Mishra is Rajul Mishra. We’ve known each other since our college days. He was then employed by Rajshree Production as an assistant director. He introduced me to the film’s director, who hired me for the position of Art Director.

Rajul used to write for programmes on networks like MTV. He was hired to write for a programme on this channel. He asked me to assist him in writing a script.

I had never written anything. told them about this as well. He requested a single try. He really enjoyed the writing that I produced. Then I lost myself in my writing.

I then started working for MTV as an internal writer. I spent four years working here. The director used to tell me that I ought to act in the show when I would write and narrate the plot for it while I was employed here. I began acting in response to his statement.

I enjoyed my acting day just as much as any other day. I used to enjoy doing that work a lot. He once performed in the plays he wrote. Writing and acting work began to be done at the same time in this manner. Even at this point, I was unaware of my natural talent for acting.

Many of my friends used to joke that I should try acting in films after seeing how I could act, but I used to avoid their advice. I did, however, take on small parts in the films Slumdog Millionaire and Haal-e-Dil at a friend’s recommendation. Even after working in these two, the idea of quitting my job and entering the industry never crossed my mind.

How did you get into the movie business?

This item was created at the start of 2009. I worked as the Imagination Show’s creative director after leaving MTV. One day while I was here at work, Navita Das called me. He got in touch with me about the movie Dhobi Ghat. I went to an audition and was chosen. For me, it was a very joyful occasion.

I received a call from the movie’s director, Kiran Rao, about 15 days prior to the start of filming. We have seen your audition again, he said to Sharib. Regarding appearance, you are still far from ideal. Not this time, but you will definitely have a chance the next time. I also had the impression that since Kiran Rao directed the movie, she must have had great casting taste.

However much this rejection hurt me. wept all night long. The following morning, I made the decision to focus solely on acting. then went to the office and submitted his resignation. Thereafter, I gave my notice of one month and resigned. Following this, the auditioning process began.

How can I join the cast of Family Man?

The offer for Family Man came after they saw my work in Filmistan. After I passed the series’ auditions, I had a good feeling when I came out. I was very excited about this series. knew that luck would shine if they were chosen. That also occurred. Following the audition, a decision was made, and as soon as the work was published, it was received.

Working on the series with Manoj Bajpayee taught me a lot. To me, he serves as a mentor and older brother. I had plenty of work after this series, but my wife was diagnosed with cancer during this time.

The disease shocked but the career continued. We battled this illness alongside you, never losing heart. The struggle was different this time. Although there was plenty of money, the entire time was mentally taxing.

I count it a privilege to have appeared in shows and films like “Asur,” “Scam,” “The Family Man-2,” “Vikram Vedha,” “Dhakad,” and “The Great Indian Murder.”
