DU Will Close The Common Seat Allocation System Round 1 Seat Acceptance Window For UG Admission

Delhi University will close the process of accepting seats of Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) Round 1 for admission to undergraduate programs today. Candidates shortlisted in DU Round 1 seat allotment can ‘accept’ the allotted seat by visiting the official website entry.uod.ac.in.

The first round of seat acceptance window was initially scheduled to close on October 21. Colleges have to verify and approve online applications by October 23, while the last date to pay DU admission fee is October 24 till 5 pm. All the students can accept the seat and deposit the admission fee within the given time limit.

Around 71,741 students accepted seats
According to reports, around 71,741 students have accepted their allotted college and course. A total of 80,164 seats have been allotted by the university in its first allotment list. Admission process is on for 54,395 students. The university will conduct the second round of CSAS seat allotment process from October 25 to 27. The candidates who have been allotted seats in the first round of CSAS will be considered for the CSAS second round subject to the availability of seats and the allotment policy.

Upgrade/Freeze option available

In DU Round 1 seat allotment, candidates can select ‘Upgrade/Freeze’ option against CSAS Round 1 allotment. Candidates who opt for ‘Upgrade’ can reorder the program and college combinations which were higher in preference than allotted. If a candidate selects the option ‘Freeze’, he/she will not be allowed to opt for “Upgrade”. Candidates are suggested to “freeze” their admission if they are satisfied with the current seat allotment and do not wish to be considered for subsequent allotment.
