Additionally excluded are three additional significant leaders

Jaipur: The Rajasthan BJP has established two committees ahead of the important assembly elections in the state, but this major statement is more significant for its exclusions than its additions. Vasundhara Raje, the former chief minister, as well as the state BJP president CP Joshi and the leader of the opposition Rajendra Rathore are not included on the list of members for the sankalp (manifesto) committee and the election management committee.

Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, a union minister, and Satish Poonia, a former state BJP president, are the other two significant figures that are absent from the committee. Party insiders had intimated earlier this month that these five pillars will oversee the whole state election campaign, which is anticipated to take place in less than three months.

The state election management committee, which will have 21 members and be led by former MP Narayan Lal Panchariya, would be established by the party. Arjun Ram Meghwal, a Union Minister, will serve as the chairman of the 25-person team charged with creating the electoral platform.

Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, a former Union minister, and MP Kirodi Lal Meena are the only two prominent figures on the panels.

The BJP has started a number of initiatives in the lead-up to the elections to pressure the Ashok Gehlot administration, particularly on corruption and crime against women. While the Mahila Morcha of the party has made rising crime a campaign topic, the “Nahi Sahega Rajasthan” campaign focuses on corruption, paper leaks, and farmer concerns.

The Right to Health Bill, the Gig Workers’ Bill, and the power and gas subsidies are among the social welfare programs of the Gehlot government that pose the BJP with the greatest difficulty.

The Gehlot government is relying on these programs to assure it wins a second term in Rajasthan, buoyed by the success of the five promises in Karnataka, which was a major factor in the Congress’ victory in the state.
